Birthday’s Welcome to The Elm Room, the perfect venue for your next big birthday bash!
This event space is truly one of a kind and is completely separate to The Foxhunter pub. Some of locals couldn’t believe it when we told them that there was a fully-private party venue in the pub, it doesn’t get much more private than that! With a separate entrance, a fully stocked bar, plenty of space for 40-90 it really is the ideal location for events big and small. When the weather is a little warmer (which isn’t nearly often enough), you can head out through the double doors to onto the private patio too! Our dedicated function space can accommodate all kinds of birthday celebrations from small intimate 60th Birthday gatherings to also being the perfect 21st Birthday party venue!
No two parties are the same.
We’re well aware that each party has different needs, demands and everything in between. Our events team are happy to plan your special day with you every step of the way – no two parties are the same! We’re more than willing to assist you with recommending live music too from some of Dublin’s finest musicians who have got the crowd singing and dancing in the pub on nights gone by. We have an agent that we use for hiring musicians and DJ’s and he’s great for making suggestions on what will work for your special night. Or feel free to organize your own DJ too. We understand that private party venues need to be flexible and we’re confident that The Elm Room can cater for all types of birthday parties.

People from Lucan know to throw a party and we’re absolutely delighted that we now have a dedicated private venue space that can cater for 21st Birthday bashes, 30th birthdays, 40th’s and all the way up to a 60th party and beyond. Milestone birthday parties were made for The Elm Room! Please note that minors are allowed to be on the premises up until 9pm and 10pm between May – September. As well as this, if you want to bring in your own decorations, we can arrange this for you too. There’s no real limits here as long as it works. The only exception is that we don’t allow loose confetti or confetti canons as it destroys our furniture. We’ve got ample amounts of free parking available if you need to drive. Or there’s plenty of busses that run from the city centre that leave you only a stone’s throw away. Bus routes that go from town include the 52, C1, C2, C3, and the C4 to name a few.
So what’s the story with food?
We’ve delicious platters available from Wowburger and our lovely neighbours, Elephant and Castle.

We’ve got medium platters and larger platters available. Both of these serve 10 people, depending on how hungry you are! Our medium food platter includes 10 mini burgers, 5 portions of chips, 3 portions of onion rings and 6 dipping sauces. Then our large platter includes 10 mini burgers, 5 portions of chips, 3 large chicken bites, 3 portions of onion rings and 6 dipping sauces. And of course, we’re able to change any of our burgers to vegetarian or vegan burgers upon request. We’ve also go a few event packages too if you wanted to go down that route! This is the perfect way to make it as easy as possible to get the drinks flowing and the party started!

This platter is seriously popular and is perfect for birthday bashes for any age group. Good portions and an amazing quality of food – what more could you want for your birthday celebration! You can choose any 5 of the following options: Spicy chicken wings, chicken strips, cocktail sausages, beef burger sliders, vegetarian sliders, hand-cut fries, tortilla chips or onion rings. 4 dips are also included in the price. So if you need a bit of soakage during your birthday then you’re spoilt for choice!
